Why the forum exists
Critical issues need space for practical conversation.
Across its editions, the Frugal Innovation Forum has made room for critical conversations on youth, education, digital financial inclusion and other fast-changing priorities. The 2025 edition focused on climate adaptation in agriculture, food security and livelihoods.
The two-day residential conference brought development and climate practitioners, entrepreneurs, researchers and ecosystem partners together to examine emerging challenges and solutions grounded in the realities of the Global South.
Field visits in climate-vulnerable regions of Bangladesh connected those conversations to lived experience. Panel discussions, breakout sessions, impact talks and a solutions exhibition helped participants move between evidence, exchange and practical action.
